Their's a fire that's burning within me. Though it pains me to say it, I cannot contain it. As of late, it's been feeding and has begun to permeate through my flesh. Setting ablaze everything along the way. I do not mean to cause you pain, but it's my nature. I was born that way. I wish that I could be like you and derive joy from the rain, but I have the darkness growing more each day. I'm sorry when I say, that our connection has begun to fade.

Sometimes I wonder whether this will be indefinite. I enjoy the company, the laughter and the kisses but I'm often left wondering what you're feeling. Doubt consumes, though optimism always resumes. And though these thoughts are fleeting, they leave fissures that echo even when they're gone. Will your past come sweep you away and am I just here to ease your pain?
